Three Harmonies
Definition
The San He Ju (Triple Combination) is a powerful harmonization relationship among Earthly Branches, consisting of three Earthly Branches that, when combined, generate a strong elemental force. The four San He Ju combinations are: Shen-Zi-Chen forming the Water Combination, Hai-Mao-Wei forming the Wood Combination, Yin-Wu-Xu forming the Fire Combination, and Si-You-Chou forming the Metal Combination. The San He Ju exerts profound influence on the destiny chart upon successful harmonization.
How to Find
Examine the Earthly Branches in the Four Pillars of the BaZi chart to determine whether all three branches of any San He Ju are present. The combinations are: Shen-Zi-Chen (Water), Hai-Mao-Wei (Wood), Yin-Wu-Xu (Fire), and Si-You-Chou (Metal). When all three branches appear, it constitutes a complete San He Ju; if only two appear, it forms a partial combination (Ban He Ju), with diminished strength.
