How to Find
Method to determine the Life Palace: Subtract the sum of the Earthly Branch of the Year Pillar and that of the Month Pillar from the sum of the Earthly Branch of the Day Pillar and that of the Hour Pillar; the remainder corresponds to the Earthly Branch of the Life Palace. Alternatively, one may count forward from the Zi (Rat) hour of the birth month to the birth hour. Calculation methods vary slightly among different schools.
